Policeabuse.com serves nearly 2000 clients a year
by
assisting with reporting complaints of police misconduct. Occasionally,
we have
had a dissatisfied client. In most cases, we do our best to resolve any
concerns our clients report to us. Unfortunately, in 2007 three mentally
unstable clients took to the Internet and began reporting false
complaints
using a new platform called rip-off report. Rip-off report is run by a
fugitive
named Ed Madgeson.
Rip-off report does not screen or vet bogus reports
submitted to their website. In fact it is their official policy not to
remove
false reports even if they know that there is no evidence to support the
claims
being posted. Because of rip-off report’s high page ranking, bogus
reports quickly moved to the top of the Internet regardless of their
accuracy
or integrity. The three clients that posted false complaints against policeabuse.com
did so nearly four years ago. And though we have an A+ Better Business
Bureau
rating the posted complaints are troublesome and confusing for new
clients and
business contacts. Everything you read on the Internet requires
verification.

As for the three clients with the bogus complaints from 2007
you may find them on our false
complaints page. They were unhappy that our investigation of their
complaint did not prove misconduct.
