On March 2008, my wife had dinner with friends and was on her way home. She was stopped by Travis County Marked car for her vehicle lights were too dim at 11pm. She drives a 2007 Lexus SC so this was just too strange. But then he told her to step out from her car to do a sobriety test. He did not even ask her for her driver's license nor registration. She did told the "cop" she had 2 drinks but with her dinner. She refused to take the test because she felt that the cop was not doing his procedures and she was scared. The cop felt that he was being provoked and claimed that my wife grabbed his testicle so he mazed her. That was the last thing she remembered. She woke up in the ER with fractured nose, blood all over, cut lip, black eyes, scrapes on elbow and cuts on her knee at 3am. From the Police report the time she was stopped and arrived at the ER was between 2-3hours. A normal traffic stop wouldn't take that long so this entire incident is just too strange. I was not contacted for almost 30 hours after from what happened. I bailed her out after waited 5 hours outside then saw her struggling to walk with just her hospital robe and a bag with her bloody clothes. I was in shock. I hired an attorney and doing all the process. I believe there are some good cops out there but majority of them are corrupted and uses the badge with gun to be above the law.
