hi all im new here glad i found this forum hopefully i'll have people on my side this time instead of against me.

let me get started on what happend to my bf and i this past sunday.

so late afternoon on sunday i was driving on the fast lane of the high way i switched there to try to get pass the car on the slow lane. doing about 60 on a 55mph speed zone on a 2 lane highway, and keeping a 2 car distance between my car and the car in front of me. then i check my rear view mirror a white nissan pathfinder suv pulls up behind me tailgates "me" for whatever reason then starts to high beam me nonestop, for a good couple of mins. apparently the driver dosent realize there wasnt anyway for me to go on my right lane or drive any faster since there were cars all around and im not in the state to endanger other motorists on the highway just so this prick can get on her way. so we keep driving, while im still being flashed highbeamed constantly nonestop and i know its not a unmarked police suv, with the earliest opening on the right,the suv cuts to the right pulls next to my car and starts yapping off, then cuts infront of me and instantly hits the breaks, so naturally i highbeam back. quarter miles down the highway im about to exit..the suv cuts in front of me on the exit lane and exits as well on the right, and as we pull to the stop sign off the highway the car stops. a man in a suit comes out the passenger side walks to my window pulls out a wallet with a police badge inside and flashes it to me real quick...so i said whats the problem, he says why were u on the fast lane, before i can reply he walks away and says, get the fuckk off the fast lane aasshole, and dont ever fucking high beam again, at this point i was just a bit confused, a bit angry at the same time. i regret not taking down the suvs license plates and ask to see his badge. i personally feel i was mistreated, but i dont know what else i could have done, what do you guys think? it wasnt a police suv, it was driven by a female driver. im thinking to myself just because of having a badge a offduty police officer can just abuse it like this ? im assuming he did it to please his Gf/wife. i dont think all cops are bad, but ones like this really makes peopkle think. and then they say why do people hate cops gee i wonder..thanks for reading

Hey seeyouwithoutabadge I've had a similar thing happen to me a few years back, I was traveling on a freeway and due to some construction our traffic was reduced to one lane for a mile or so, when the constr. ended and it opened back up to two lanes I shot over to the left lane to get by all the other people and as I did I almost cut a guy off who was doing the same thing behind me. Anyway he stands on the horn and flashes me the high beams, I realized what I'd done and waved to the guy as I was looking at him through my rear view.Then I hit it and pulled away from him quick I was in my ChevelleSS so I just left him behind and thought that was it, after 5-10 min (if that long)I had slowed down to 65-70 and this character flies right up behind with high beams on so I pull to the right lane and let him get beside me, when he did he's flashing this badge and motioning for me to pull over. I for one second didn't believe that badge was real so I kind of smirked and just hit it and pulled away and I could see him way back there cutting back and forth through traffic to try and catch me so I just got far enough ahead and pulled off at an exit which he didn't see and lost him. Anyway to me I don't think that guy was a cop and I thought if he was they'd be in touch we me because there was lots of time for him to get my plate. Your situation reminded me of that and because you said he flashed the badge real quick and didn't do anything else makes me thing he probably wasn't a cop either, it's easy to get replica badges that look real from a distance or if their flashed quickly. I say if somebody flashes a badge while your driving and tries to get you to stop DON"T!!.

hey thanks for sharing your story bowhunter777. this prick i encountered,the driver was actually another female. when we reached the stop sign off the ramp of the highway there was no way of getting around her suv. maybe it was a fake cop..but if it was a real cop, wow..just wow..like i said i know not all cops are bad but...i 've lost alot of respect for police in general. they should thank the pricks like these that gives them a good name. wonder why so many people dislike the police force in this country.
